The committee is primarily advisory to the SDVA BOD, and the primary purpose of the committee is currently to start the wheels on motion for a track resurfacing project.
At the meeting a few people decided to take on some responsibilities:
Shaun W: Contact the city to make sure the velodrome is part of the Parks Dept’s Long term plans.
Dave Grylls: Try to obtain an original set of plans for the track
Sean Burke: Contact Ken A. from encino to see what they learned about their last resurfacing job, who did the concrete, and how happy they are with that portion of it.
Patty: Explore the option of bringing in an outside consultant to advise/design/oversee the project.
The next meeting time is TBD.
